How we handle your data
UK-based, GDPR-aware. We build for businesses that cannot afford sloppy data handling — and we hold ourselves to the same standard.
Who we are
This privacy notice is issued by Roy & Associates Limited (Company No. 09193852), trading as SETS Tech (“we”, “us”, “our”). We are the data controller for personal data collected through setstech.co.uk.

What data we collect
When you use our contact form or email us, we typically collect:
- name
- email address
- phone number (if you provide one)
- message content and any project details you choose to share
- basic technical data such as IP address, browser type and pages visited (via server logs and, if enabled, analytics)
We do not ask for special category data through the public website. Please do not send sensitive personal data (for example health or criminal records) via the contact form.
Why we use your data (purposes and lawful bases)
- Responding to enquiries and booking calls — legitimate interests, and where needed steps prior to entering a contract.
- Providing quotes and delivering client work — performance of a contract.
- Operating and securing the website — legitimate interests (security, abuse prevention, diagnostics).
- Legal and accounting obligations — legal obligation where applicable.
How long we keep data
Enquiry messages are retained for up to 24 months after the last meaningful contact, unless a longer period is needed for an active discussion, contract, dispute or legal requirement. Server logs are typically rotated within 90 days. Contract and invoice records are kept for the periods required by UK law.
Who we share data with
We use service providers who process data on our instructions, which may include:
- website hosting and email delivery providers
- domain and DNS providers
- analytics or error-monitoring tools if enabled
We do not sell personal data. We only share it where necessary to run the site, respond to you, deliver contracted work, or comply with the law.
International transfers
Where a supplier stores or processes data outside the UK, we take steps required under UK GDPR (for example UK adequacy regulations or appropriate contractual safeguards).
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you may have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict or object to certain processing, and to data portability where applicable. You can also withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
