How we work together

Clear terms for websites, portals and systems we build for UK businesses — no hidden scope games.

Two different documents

These Website Terms of Use cover how you may use setstech.co.uk. They are separate from any project agreement (proposal, statement of work or contract) we sign with a client for a build.

If there is a conflict between these website terms and a signed project agreement, the project agreement prevails for that engagement.

Who we are

The site is operated by Roy & Associates Limited trading as SETS Tech (Company No. 09193852), registered in England & Wales.

Using this website

  • Content is provided for general information about our studio and services.
  • You must not misuse the site (for example attempting unauthorised access, scraping at abusive volume, or submitting malware).
  • We may update or withdraw pages without notice.

Enquiries and calls

Submitting the contact form or requesting a call does not create a contract. We will respond during UK business hours when we can. Any fixed fee, timeline or scope is only confirmed in writing in a project agreement.

What a typical project agreement covers

Before paid work starts we normally document:

  • scope and deliverables
  • what you must supply (content, access, approvals)
  • fees, payment schedule and VAT treatment where applicable
  • revision rounds and acceptance
  • timeline and dependencies
  • intellectual property and licence on handover
  • third-party costs (hosting, domains, SaaS tools)
  • support after launch, if any
  • cancellation and termination

Intellectual property

Website text, branding and design on setstech.co.uk remain ours unless stated otherwise. Client project IP is handled in the project agreement — typically you receive the agreed deliverables on final payment.

No professional advice

Content on this site (including industry articles) is general information, not legal, regulatory, financial or medical advice. Law-firm and care-related builds are designed with UK operating realities in mind; they do not replace your COLP, compliance officer or professional advisers.

Liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for loss arising from use of this website or reliance on general content. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, except where mandatory consumer rules say otherwise.
