Law Firm Website SEO in the UK: What Actually Wins Instructions
Most “SEO for solicitors” articles tell you to write more blog posts and stuff the word “lawyer” into every heading. That is not how a UK client chooses a firm. They search a problem, they land on a practice-area page, and they decide in seconds whether you look like the right people.
At SetsTech we build law firm websites for that moment — not for a vanity ranking report. The Stonebridge Legal site is a good example: clear services, a real next step, and pages written the way people actually search.
Rank for the work you want
A boutique firm does not need to rank for “best lawyer UK”. It needs to rank for the matter types it can take: conveyancing in a town, immigration for a community, employment for SMEs. Those phrases are less competitive and they bring better instructions.
Put the phrase in the title, the H1, and the first paragraph. Then explain the process in plain English. Google is not impressed by synonym stuffing. Clients are not either.
The page has to convert
Traffic with no booking is wasted. A good law firm page answers three things quickly: who you help, what happens next, and how to start. If the only action is a buried contact form, you will lose the instruction to a firm with a simpler diary.
Technical basics still matter
Fast pages on a phone, a proper title and meta description, HTTPS, and a sitemap are not optional. We ship those as part of the build. Fancy content on a slow template does not rank, and it does not win work.
